If a house is heated by heating oil instead of natural gas, what type of stove will the kitchen have?

I’m new to oil heating. I’ve only ever had natural gas. But the homes in the area I want to buy all have oil. I realize heating with oil is expensive, and I will either buy a new efficient boiler or buy pellet stoves instead. But I’m just curious about the other appliances – if a home has oil heat, what will the kitchen stove be – electric only? What about the water heater – if I don’t use the boiler and use pellet stoves instead, should I get an electric water heater?
I hear oil is terribly expensive in the northeast (where I am) in winter. I know about insulation and all that, but I’m wondering if I should just put my foot down and refuse to buy a home heated with oil, or should I get an oil home but replace the boiler with a brand new efficient one and use that for everything, or should I go ahead and get an oil home but never use the boiler and instead use pellet stoves and electricity for everything else? Is propane a viable alternative?
I’m also sensitive to odors, and I hear oil homes smell of oil, and I think propane has a smell too, whereas pellet stoves and natural gas don’t. I like the idea of pellet stoves, but I’m worried that using electricity for my stove and laundry dryer and hot water heater will end up being more expensive than the oil bill. However, if the smell is really offensive, I may have no choice.
Is it possible to have propane for the stove and hot water heater, and pellet stoves for heat?
Any advice is appreciated.

It is not only the adults, who love hanging out in kitchen. Kids too enjoy staying in here, as they watch their moms cooking. Although an unlikely place to stay for them, they may sit at the counter and stay there because they may perceive this as an opportunity to spend time with their parents. Perhaps observing and helping around during meal preparation will help them learn how to cook. Sometimes they will snuck in the kitchen to get a treat or two. Because of this, every adult should have safety measures not only to protect theirselves but also their kids. A kitchen may look friendly to you because of all the good times you have in it. However, if you look at it closely, it possess various types of risks and hazards. Safety Measures to Apply To build kitchen safety, here are some tips to apply: 1. Keep matches out of reach. Your kids can find almost anything interesting. If it happened that matches would end up being on their hand, they may end up suffering from burns or they may set up the house on fire unintentionally. Aside from matches, any flammables like butane or propane torch (used for brulee), spark devices and lighters must also be properly stored. 2. Any sharps must be kept in the cupboards. Do not even make a mistake of hanging on them on the ceiling. It is plain stupidity if you do that. You do not want to end up getting stabbed in times of earthquakes or small tremors. 3. Keep sockets away from the faucet. If the water splashes around the sink, you may risk yourself from electrocution. Since smoke always is present during cooking, you might want to install the smoke alarm with proper distancing. Aside from that, it is best you install a detector that can perform the functions of both photoelectric and ionization. You must also keep a portable extinguisher or a fire blanket within the area. 5. When you cook, make sure you do not leave it unattended. Handles of pots should be turned in and not outwards to avoid accidental knock-offs. If you want to leave the kitchen to answer the phone or to check on something else, make sure you turn the flames low, especially if you are deep-frying. 6. Jars for kids should be properly stored and should not be placed in high areas. They will have the tendency to climb on chairs to reach it. This will put them at risk for fall injuries. 7. Follow manufacturer’s guidelines as to how to use appliances. Never leave them plugged in when no one is at home or even when sleeping at night. 8. Avoid putting easily combustible materials close to the stove or any heating appliance. 9. Ventilate your kitchen properly. This way nuisance alarms will be avoided and the concentration of carbon monoxide will be lessened. 10. Always shut down gas tanks and stove after using. Always check for leaks and make sure the tubing is intact when using them.
