One 14. 1 ounce Worthington cylinder I bought, apparently in in good condition, sometimes audibly leaks gas after I remove the torch head. I can get it to stop (as near as I can tell) by reattaching and re-removing the torch, and another tank doesn’t display the problem at all. There’s no smell of leaking gas in my storage cabinet so I guess the valve really does close, if I work at it, but it’s still scary.
I’ll use these tanks up, but I’m going to look for a different brand next time. Also, it makes me appreciate that bottle of leak detector that came packed with my torch.
