I wouldn’t use any contact paper, no offense.
Without knowing the current substance of the shower stall, or condition, I’d probably bite the bullet, buy thin walled, vinyl sheet stock, cut it to fit, use Never rot vinyl corner molding, and a Liquid nails type adhesive, applied, to glue everything in. It may not be so fancy as patterened contact paper, and if you have no leak issues at present, it will at least allow a clean new look. I did an in house sheet stock bathroom, 5 years ago that still holds up well.

I wouldn’t use it. The glue would probably break down and you will have a mess. I would use pool paint before contact paper.

If it’s only a small shower stall, you could check into the tub refinishing kits available at Home Depot and Lowe’s. Stay away from contact paper. It will eat you alive. You’ll disappear and nobody will every hear from you again.
