It greatly depends on WHERE you are going.

yes it depends on where you are going, and what the weather is predicted to be.
But…. You should always be prepared for a turn for a the worse, in this time of year, especialy in the new england area, temps could go either way, freezing or scourching so pack accordingly.
if you sleep outside i suggest a bug net to sleep in/under
have fun

It’s okay to take a fleece bag. If you are concerned about being hot, just take a thinner sheet to use. You can sleep in the bag or on top. I’ve done both. If you happen to be in a colder area, take extra blankets to use inside your bag. If sleeping outside, you might like to take a tarp or something to spread on the ground so stuff doesn’t get stuck to your bag as much, or get damp from the ground. Thick sleeping bags can be a pain to wash ( use the laundry mats big washing machines) Also, if you do sleep outside, consider bug spray and/ or a mosquito net.

Check what the weather is suppose to be like. Personally I wouldn’t put a sheet in the bag because it would less comfortable for my but you need to do what works for you.

Use a fleece sleeping bag only in very warm temperatures.
For slightly cooler weather:
Use another cover over the bag, not in the bag, as it would get all caterwampus as you move around in the bag.
There are many Summer Weight sleeping bags on the market.

Yea you can take anything you want to sleep in. I have a friend that just uses blankets. However you need to know the temp you are going camping it. If it gets cold you are going to freeze your butt off in a flece sleeping bag. However, if it is warm you will be perfect. Just watch the wether and plan acordingly.
