Tie your hair up, and dont wear make up. Bring disposable facial cleansing cloths to wash your face before bed/when you wake up to look and feel fresh. wear deoderant.
thats all i can think of… Keep a smile on your face and act confident.

Bring a small bottle of talcum powder. If you sprinkle it in your hair, it makes the roots not look greasy. Also, pack a couple baseball caps and put your hair up in a ponytail under it. Guys think girls are cute in ball caps. Make sure to wear the cap that goes with his favorite sports teams. Use a tinted moisturizer for your face to even out your skin, and wear waterproof mascara. Bring a tube of lipstick and use it for blush and lip color, and you can also rub a bit on your upper eyelids for some color like eyeshadow. Keep a razor that has a built in soap (like the Schick Intuition) so you can moisten your legs and underarms and shave really quickly. Pack LOTS of baby wipes to stay fresh and clean smelling. Don’t load up on perfumes…they attract bugs. Use a citronella bug spray…it smells fresh and helps keep you from getting eaten alive. Here is one I love:

I also recommend packing some Colgate Wisps…they are disposable mini toothbrushes with toothpaste built in. They are super small and easy to carry, and easy to use anytime you need them.
Have fun!!

I dont think you need to worry about impressing him by staying clean I think he`ll be real impressed that you went 3 days without showering. Bring baby wipes to give yourself a sort of sponge bath and baby powder to keep you nice and dry. Stay away from makeups because they`ll eventually run and stay away from sweet smelling lotions, creams, and sprays since they`ll attract bugs.

Beach bum is dead on the money. Also add in your day pack a lot of granola bars so you will be more independent and wont be winning for food. Think about wearing the back pack around the house/day pack to get used to it. a true sportsmen can spot a phony. plus add bug repellent wipes and moist towels for clean up. Pick up stuff from Walmart cheap and helpful. Luck to you!!

wear hats.
to a man who camps, dirty women are sexy. I mean “dirty” in a good way.

I love all these responses and they are dead on. Just reiterating what people have said, stay away from scented things, makeup, and other beauty products. I also agree with jtexas. An outdoor girl is hotter than the hottest city chic. Go explore. You will find out that the outdoors has more to offer than you think.

I probably wouldn’t have said this (even though I’d have been thinking it) if there hadn’t been some apparently male answerers who said the same thing, because I would have just been giving a point of view that may not matter much to you, but since the guys agree, I’ll chime in:
A woman who goes on a long camping trip and still wants to play girlie-girl games like focusing on how she looks to guys is NOT making herself attractive. Instead, she ends up looking foolish. You don’t want that. Instead, try to look as if you don’t CARE if your appearance “impresses” your ex or not; you are not there for him, but for YOU. (If that’s not true, pretend it is.)
Now, if you want to keep clean just because you like to be clean, for your own comfort or so that you can spot more wildlife or as a courtesy to your tentmates, that’s another matter. Personally, I like to take a sponge bath whenever I can on a camping trip, especially if I’ll be hunting. I even got a “changing room/shower tent” about the size of a phone booth, because my little pup tent isn’t big enough to stand up. If you’ll have someplace where you can be in private for about fifteen minutes, you can freshen up every day or two.
In our grandparents’ days, everybody knew how to take a sponge bath, but indoor plumbing has spoiled most of us. I suggest you bring two big sponges (different colors so you can tell them apart), a towel, a bar of unscented soap (such as Ivory) and a spray bottle that has never been used for anything but water. Even if you are backpacking, those items are lightweight. If you are car camping, you can even bring a bucket. Fill the spray bottle (and bucket) at least halfway with water that’s clean enough to drink. If it’s cold, you may want to heat some water over your camp stove or fire, then mix it with the cold water until you get the temperature you want. Let one sponge be your “clean water” sponge. Submerge it in the bucket or spray plenty of water on it. Use the bottle to spritz yourself, and for more water flow, squeeze the sponge gently to drip a few drops at a time. When you’ve gotten your skin wet, dampen the other sponge and rub the soap on it. Squeeze it a few times to work up a good lather, then use it to soap up. Use the “clean water” sponge and the spray bottle to rinse off, working from the top down so that the water gradually flows downward, leaving behind clean skin. Remember, just a little bit of water will do the job. If you have to “load up” your clean sponge more than one or two times each for before and after the soap, you’re using more water than you need and probably making a huge puddle on the tent floor. On a short trip, washing your hair is optional; you can use Ivory for that, too. After you are all rinsed and dried, then you can rinse the soapy sponge in the bucket. Dry off the tent floor as much as possible and spread out the remaining moisture as far as it will go so that it dries quickly, without causing mildew. You’ll feel as fresh as if you had a half-hour shower at home.
Will it impress the ex? Who cares? (Again, if you do care, pretend you don’t. That’s what will impress him.)

Good one Trish…lots of sense there.
Showering twice a day will to do more damage to your skin than not showering for three days.
You are getting rid of all the natural oils that the body makes to help to look after you and all of the natural and good bacteria that help to look after you too.
In over twenty years of wild camping on long treks and bike rides in the Alps, Andes, Pyrannees, Atacama Desert, and the waterways and mountains of Kerala in southern India, and mile after mile of African bush country (and fifteen years in the Army) I never had a problem getting a wash all over often enough. A bucket and a jug make a good substitute for a shower, and a bowl of water and a sponge do a good job too.
Sterilising tablets treat the water when necessary, and are used for wash water for clothes, cloths, and towels.
We get spoiled and freaked out with all the modern conveniences we have, that give a false impression, helped greatly by money-grabbing manufacturers and silly magazines, of how much hygiene is hygienic and what ‘pretty’ and ‘attractive’ actually mean.
If my gf started going all towny and high-streety on a camping trip I’d wonder what flipped her mind.
Be YOU. That’s what matters. From the inside.
Or are you content to be a picture?
Some guys are foolish enough to fall in love with a picture but real guys prefer people.
Have fun.
