Wow this thing just went up 14 bucks since I added it to my cart. It was 49 bucks 2 days ago! Just picked one up on sale at home Depo for 37. 49. What’s up with the pricing?

The one I received was not well made and poorly packaged. It was out of square and the screws attaching the burner to frame had fallen out in transit. Sent it back to Amazon and purchased a Hurricane burner from Williams Brewing – a much higher quality item (more money as well).

I’ve used several other “turkey fryer” type burners for homebrewing beer. I use converted sankey kegs and I can tell you that they fit this burner better than any I have ever used. Also, being lower to the ground makes it very stable! I’ll probably buy another soon.
One thing to note would be the horrible burn paint smell the first few times you use it. Kinda nasty but does go away. Also, keep an eye on Amazon’s pricing, I’ve seen this burner jump around in price from $40-$66

This is a good burner. Big surface to handle large pots. Nice and low so it is easy to lift full pots onto. It is too low to gravity feed into a 5 gallon carboy. What is with the crazy Amazon pricing. In 6 months I have seen this thing go back and forth between $40 & $60. I ordered mine through a local Ace for $50, used a $10 off coupon and paid no shipping.

This is a good stove, and holds a big 7 gallon pot easily. Provides for a rapid boil. Much better than my kitchen stove for big boiling jobs.
